From a tender age, Sifu Ley immersed himself in various disciplines such as Silat, Kali, Brazilian jujitsu, Kick Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, and boxing. However, it was his profound devotion to the art of Ip Man Ving Tsun that became the focal point of his remarkable journey.
Guided by the esteemed Grand Master Roland Tong, a trusted student and close confidant of the legendary GGM Ip Man, Sifu Robert Ley has emerged as a fully qualified Ving Tsun/Wing Chun Instructor and the distinguished global representative for his Sifu, GM Roland Tong. Having undergone the esteemed Bai-See Ceremony, Sifu Rob Ley stands as the sole student of Grand Master Roland Tong to have comprehensively mastered the System.
In recognition of his exceptional mastery of Ip Man Wing Chun, Sifu Ley was bestowed with the prestigious title of Master of Ip Man Wing Chun by the distinguished World Martial Arts Council in 2014. Subsequently, he received the coveted Master of the Year award in 2015 at the illustrious Munich Hall of Honors, followed by another honourable accolade at the Innsbruck Hall of Honors in July 2016.
The year 2022 witnessed the Munich Hall of Honors bestow the distinguished 'Martial Arts Family of the Year' accolade upon the revered 'Rob Ley Academy.' Sifu Rob Ley himself was acknowledged for his outstanding contributions to Martial Arts, particularly in the realm of Ip Man Ving Tsun, solidifying his reputation as an influential figure in the field. In the following year, at the esteemed World Hall of Honors in Atlantic City, USA, he was honoured as the Ip Man Ving Tsun Master of the Year.
Furthermore, as the Co-Founder of the globally recognized International Ving Tsun/Jeet Kune Do Alliance, alongside Sifu Lamar Davis, Sifu Robert Ley holds the esteemed position of Senior Instructor for the Ip Man Ving Tsun Division. With his vast expertise and unwavering dedication, Sifu Ley endeavours to share the profound knowledge of this martial art discipline with enthusiasts worldwide, empowering individuals on their personal martial arts journeys.

Ip Man Ving Tsun/ Wing Chun

Sifu Rob Ley is a recognised and registered Ving Tsun instructor with the Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong. He was recognised as a Master of Ip Man Ving Tsun by the World Wide Martial arts Council in 2014.
In 2015 and 2016 he received the European Master of the year Award at the Munich Hall of Honors.
2022 he was recognized at the European hall of Honors and presented with the “Outstanding Contribution to Ip Man Ving Tsun” Award whilst the Rob Ley Academies also got the “Martial Arts Family of the Year”.
2023 he was awarded the Ip Man Ving Tsun Master of the year at the World Hall of Honours based in Atlantic City, USA.
Sifu Rob Ley is the Worldwide Representative for Grandmaster Roland Tong (close friend and long time student of GGM Ip Man).
